Job Description

Purpose of the role

A mid to senior-level experienced Economist to assist the Actuarial and Analytics Solutions team to deliver services to client premises on delegated engagements and projects. 

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience required

  • Minimum BCom Honours Economics degree, Masters Degree will be advantageous
  • Minimum of three years relevant work experience, consulting background preferable
  • Strong financial modelling background
  • Strong research capabilities
  • Excellent economic and industry understanding
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Experience using the suite of Microsoft Office software (specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Experience using relevant analytics platforms (SAS, SQL, Python, Power BI)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management

  • Proven ability to manage and execute projects
  • Extensive knowledge of standards such as COBIT, ISO27002 and best practice frameworks such as ITIL Enterprise application assessments including process performance improvement and utilization assessments
  • GRC technology enablement, integrating/automating risk capabilities, risk assessment and compliance transformation
  • Technical understanding of technology platforms, operating systems, system development life cycle, change management, information security, databases.
