Job Description

We are looking to appoint a sales executive in Johannesburg to drive salary survey / benchmarking and research sales in the Gauteng.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ascertain client needs, conduct sales presentations and develop proposals and tenders.
  • Maintain a comprehensive client database.
  • Develop strategies to grow market share for our salary survey and job evaluation product offering.
  • Development of marketing material and electronic newsletters to maintain constant contact with our client base.
  • Constant interaction with our client base either telephonically or through face to face visits.
  • Ability to maintain an existing client database in terms of sales and identify and close new clients.
  • Ability to interact and sell at c suite, senior management, or middle management level.
  • Ability to network within the firm to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of new survey product offerings.
  • Become familiar with the firm approaches to properly guide the research process.
  • Be willing to partner with others on the sales team, as necessary, and to contribute knowledge and experience to the team.
  • Create relationships with new clients through a combination of your prospecting, leveraging your existing network, and pursuing leads provided by the company.
  • Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual opportunities relative to specific goals.
  • Write proposals that convey the recommended designs and analytic plans.
  • Coordinate with internal research teams to deliver best in class reports highlighting business outcomes.
  • Contribute to the evolving sales processes.
  • Work closely with the senior manager for all planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • 3 years in a similar role
  • Strong sales and business development capability and experience 
  • Experience in sales of similar products is mandatory
