The Actuarial and Analytics Solutions (A&AS) team specialises in providing unique solutions through a combination of actuarial and advanced analytics skills that extends across businesses and industries. We create meaningful partnerships with clients and public entities, providing meaningful, value-added services.

Job Description

  • Provide technical direction to projects with a key focus on the consumer business/retail industry
  • Manage multiple projects running within the team
  • Develop stakeholder relationships
  • Contribute towards and drive strategic direction within the team
  • Draft project proposals and concept notes
  • Develop project leads and industry presence

Qualifications

Experience Required

  • Minimum five years’ experience in consumer business/retail industry
  • Proven business development experience, consulting background critical
  • Strong advanced analytics background required
  • Ability to self-structure current work and priorities within an environment where no one Strong oral communication and writing skills
  • Strong computer literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of clients’ timelines and budgets.
  • Ability to constructively manage and nurture a diverse team
  • Strong client presence

Minimum Qualifications     

BCom/BSc Honours Degree in one of the following disciplines: Econometrics; Financial Mathematics; Statistics; Actuarial Science; Data Mining; or Economics

  • Manage project plans to optimize engagements: Proactively manages the project plan through efficient use of resources and tracking delivery of assigned tasks, guiding team members’ prioritization
  • Formulate reasonable judgements and conclusions in order to deliver informative and timely outputs: Uses judgement and consults appropriately when dealing with complex matters, applying an appropriate level of professional skepticism
