Job Description

Main Purpose

As a member of the Distinctive Talent Experience team, this role involves working with multiple stakeholders to drive Deloitte’s employer branding strategy across Africa. As an Employer Branding Consultant, you will develop, plan, execute and deliver employer branding campaigns to highlight the employee experience and position Deloitte as an employer of choice.

This is a fairly autonomous high impact role requiring a collaborative approach to ensure the employer brand is elevated.

You will be required to determine and manage budgets on a project by project basis and be a consistent advisor to the DTE team members as well as business stakeholders to ensure alignment to and eminence of our employer brand.

B Com Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations

Minimum Experience

2 years or more experience

Desired Experience

Demonstrable digital marketing experience and web/social analytics knowledge. Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital marketing/media specialist. Employer branding experience an advantage.

Strategic Impact of Employer Brand

  • Responsible for the co-development and execution of the Talent Eminence strategy incorporating our digital and social media plans for Deloitte Africa
  • Development of the company’s talent-focused digital media as well as social media presence on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram using the Sprinklr platform i.e. create and manage brand and eminence content independently to post to our various channels
  • Provide strategic direction to the Talent team r.e. talent perceptions in the market through competitor insights and trend analysis i.e. global survey results, Universum, SAGEA, Glassdoor, LinkedIn etc.

Supporting our Internal and External Clients in driving the Employer Brand

Internal Clients

  • Engage, guide and support Talent and Clients & Industries (Marketing) teams across Africa to roll out digital campaigns in their regions to ensure a consistent strategic brand experience
  • Collaborate and work directly with C&I to ensure alignment in Talent brand positioning vs the Firm’s brand positioning
  • Plan and execute on select strategic Firmwide talent campaigns while ensuring collaboration with C&I
  • Working with individual teams within Talent and Transformation including Learning & Events, Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion, Wellbeing, Rewards and HRBPs to acquire content and promote their initiatives on social media
  • Collaborating with individual Business teams/Service lines as required for particular talent campaigns

External Clients

  • Establish, maintain and manage relationships with vendors to support strategic employer branding projects

Internal and External communications

  • Develop and maintain a calendar of key events in Deloitte with a talent focus, using this to help drive social media content strategy
  • Management of all project-related budgets
  • Implementing select global campaigns in the local market – scheduling and sharing globally-provided comms on our channels according to best practice guidelines
  • Attend Global Brand & Eminence calls and update the DTE team on upcoming campaigns and events
  • Creating simple videos on Adobe Premiere Pro to highlight key initiatives
  • Create and maintain content within the Careers section of Deloitte.com, working with different service lines for information where necessary
  • Develop recruitment/talent collateral using Adobe InDesign & Illustrator
  • Advise on brand compliance of pre-created recruitment collateral before going into production
  • Develop submissions and competitions to drive up engagement for external talent eminence awards
  • Managing and executing Talent Brand digital campaigns throughout their full lifecycle – conceptualization, content creation, execution and reporting
  • Report periodically on social media & website content performance using Sprinklr and Adobe Analytics
  • Use talent intelligence reports and tools to provide insight to business stakeholders on key talent pools, and use as the basis/research for marketing campaigns
  • Support Deloitte Africa with globally mandated technical projects/updates where necessary
  • Providing social media training for business on request
 

Technical competencies

  • Social media experience and knowledge of digital marketing, including website and social media channels to optimize campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Intermediate proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
  • Knowledge of website content management systems (experience with Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics a plus)
  • Basic video editing skills preferred
  • Project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of branding, in particular employer branding to sell the company as an employer of choice, highlighting the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Ability to work in a structured and organized way to create a seamless experience for the business & recruitment candidates
