Deloitte Tanzania has an exciting opportunity for a qualified individual to join our Risk Advisory department as a Manager in our Dar es Salaam Office.

About the Department

Deloitte is the leading provider of Risk Advisory services and offers the opportunity to be involved in high profile projects across all sectors including Financial Services, Insurance, Banking & Funds, Consumer & Technology Business, Government, Public and non-State organisations.
We offer services designed to understand IT and business risks, determine acceptable exposure levels, implement controls, and provide follow-up and constant monitoring in the risk environment. We also advises clients on their regulatory and privacy strategies and managing compliance in stringent regulatory environments.

Main Purpose of the Job:

To support service line leaders/Directors in delivery of services to / at client premises on delegated engagement / project.  To promote our leadership capabilities which are living our purpose, influence, performance drive, strategic direction and talent development.

Job Description

What you will do/Specialized Competencies:

  • Support the implementation of strategy of the Service Line / Business Area;
  • Drive own client portfolio and profitable book of business; 
  • Resource engagement teams with  suitable talent, balancing correct levels and numbers and recruiting as necessary;
  • Ability to leverage a keen understanding of the client’s strategy to influence and advise client’s senior leadership on key risk decisions;
  • Ability to ensure an effective risk assessment compilation and mitigation plan execution in alignment with the enterprise risk framework, risk culture, and overall business strategy;
  • Ability to lead projects and provide strategic direction across the account to deliver a superior client experience;
  • Ability to ensure reports and presentation are strategically aligned with the client’s goals and drive business success;
  • Ability to advise the client to make decisions that positively impact return on investment; provides subject matter expertise on industry trends, innovation efforts and leading practices;
  • Ability to project confidence, establish credibility with, and influence clients at all levels;
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned to you from time to time.

Qualifications

Qualifications and work experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from recognized university. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage;

  • Certified professional qualifications (e.g. CCNA, CISA, CIA, ACCA, CPA, CFE, CFA);

  • At least eight (8) years’ experience in a similar professional field ;

  • Ability to multitask and deliver on portions of multiple projects in a fast paced, intense, results oriented environment where priorities shift frequently.
