Main Purpose of Job:

To develop, implement and monitor the firm’s corporate social responsibility, socio economic development and enterprise supplier development strategies and plans.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

Honours Degree or equivalent
5 years’ experience on BBBEE and or CSR

Preferred

Postgraduate qualification (relevant to Service Area / Business Management, etc.)
Experience on Global CSR practices, Socio Economic Development and Enterprise Supplier Development will be preferred.

Differentiators for this specific role

  • Develop and implement CSR, SED and ESD strategies and engage key constituents, build brand awareness and support business objectives

  • Develop, launch/implement and manage our corporate responsibility and sustainability approach and framework

  • Work in close collaboration with key internal business leads, and counsel and inform management on the CSR strategy across Deloitte Africa

  • Develop strategic external stakeholder relationships and links to professional organizations

  • Oversee adherence to budget, performance requirements and work plans to achieve CSR, SED and ESD goals.

  • Ensure social compliance on all specific Global and local practices are achieved.

  • Evaluate company CSR initiatives compared to industry standards, trends and best practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes.

  • Write, edit, and manage the CSR and BBBEE reporting requirements

  • Develop and Maintain CSR, SED and ESD related policies and procedures

  • Develop and implement the CSR, and SED content for the various vehicles of communication.

  • Excellent understanding of responsibility and sustainability concepts, including sustainability, reporting.

  • Monitor and report on the ESD and SED deliverables against the BBBEE scorecard. 

  • Assist with the monitoring and supporting on BBBEE and CSR targets with the Service lines and business units. 

  • Strong knowledge of social and environmental trends.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the CSR team, with strong emphasis on team building, coaching and developing direct reports
