Job Description

Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this role is to set and align the regional strategy to the national strategy and to ensure team implementation of this strategy, through strategic business relationship management with all stakeholders, which results in a proactive AGR pipeline

Specialised /Technical Competencies

•        Recruitment Cycle

o   Ensures that the recruitment cycles processes and timelines are met

o   Responsible for AC finalisation and decisions

o   Ensure at all offers are tracked and reviews weekly reports before submission to stakeholders

o   Ensure application timelines are met through reviewing on weekly reports

 

•        Reporting

o   Prepares required reports for submission to stakeholders

 

•        Data clean and Fresh

o   Overall responsibility for 100% data integrity for region

 

•        Targets

o   Meets targets set by the Business Unit leader and the firm

 

•        Strategic Planning and Development

o   Gather clear and comprehensive understanding of the strategy and operations of Deloitte, the region as well as the business unit

o   Takes ownership and responsibility for the identification and acquisition of top CA talent

o   Defines and implements the strategy for the universities he / she is responsible for with a view on national targets in collaboration with campus manager

o   Oversee the implementation and execution of the regional Strategy

 

•        Strategic relationship management (Internal and External)

o   Establish a trusted Business Partner relationship with key internal decision makers

o   Build and maintain strategic relationships with all hiring managers, AGR Partners and Business Unit Leaders

o   Establish and maintain a trusted business relationship with strategic external stakeholders

o   Forms a solid relationship with candidates which is focused on creating engagement with the firm

o   Ensures a healthy flow of continual communication

 

•        AGR Initiatives

o   Identify opportunities for initiatives at your university based on national strategy and targets

o   Design the initiative concept in collaboration with campus manager

o   Ensure that the concept aligns with the AGR strategy

o   Liaise with the Marketing and Events team to roll out initiative

o   Ensure measurement criteria are in place

o   Analysis performed against measurement criteria

•        National Projects

o   Takes full ownership and responsibility for the strategic definition as well as regional implementation and delivery of national projects on an annual basis as decided by the national leadership team

o   Ensure measurement criteria are set

o   Analysis performed against measurement criteria

 

•        Operations Effectiveness

o   Fully responsible for the achievement of regional objectives as defined by national leadership

o   Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to the recruitment process and the reporting thereof

o   Takes responsibility and accountability for integrity of system data within specific region

o   Responsible for flow of push and pull communication from the region

o   Play an active role in the AGR Communication Strategy, including but not limited to: AGR initiative broadcasting, Assurance AGR Success reporting, all team interactions and stakeholder engagement at all levels both internally and externally

o   Plays the pivotal role of communicating and broadcasting all AGR information and reporting throughout the region

o   Ownership of the Strategic and operational reporting for the region and assigned campuses

o   Formal reporting of regional operations and happenings to national leadership at quarterly board meetings

 

•        AGR Interaction and Growth

o   Plays an integral part in the success of the holistic AGR by active engagement in training opportunities as well as continuous personal development

o   Contributes to the open flow of communication within the AGR, ensuring that there is continual team progression as well as healthy conflict resolution

 

•        Team Leadership

o   Provides mentorship and guidance to team members within the region

o   Communicates the strategy and objectives of the national AGR team and region

o   Inspires and motivates team members to perform optimally

o   Ensures that team members are effectively achieving their operational delivery

o   Takes accountability for team performance in all functions and areas of the business

o   Responsible for open, honest, timely and clear communication to all team members

o   Responsible for high level problem and conflict resolution

o   Embraces change and implements successful change management within the team

 

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications          

·        Relevant tertiary degree or the equivalent

Desired qualifications

·        B.Com. (Hons.)

Minimum experience  

·        7 years experience within the relevant function 

.        Minimum 3 years relevant experience within a professional services firm, with a primary focus on Graduate recruitment within the Audit space
