Main Purpose of Job
To support Engagement Managers in the delivery of services on delegated engagements / projects
Qualifications & Experience required
Required
B Com with H Dip Tax qualification
3 years’ experience as specialist in Expatriate Tax Compliance
Previous experience dealing with the South African Revenue Service would be advantageous
Good knowledge of the Income Tax Act No 58 of 1962
High level of business acumen
Excellent report writing skills
Numeric aptitude
Ability to multi task is crucial
Specialized Capabilities
Registering taxpayers for income tax
Calculating, completing and electronically filing provisional income tax returns
Calculating, completing and electronically filing final income tax returns
Reconciling income tax assessments received from the South African Revenue Service
Researching and preparing objections to the South African Revenue Service on incorrect assessments
Corresponding with the South African Revenue Service on follow ups on clients affairs
Update and use of internal software
Following up on outstanding information with clients
Preparation and calculation of estimates and hypothetical tax calculations
