Main Purpose of Job

To support Engagement Managers in the delivery of services on delegated engagements / projects 

Qualifications & Experience required

Required

• B Com with H Dip Tax qualification

• 3 years’ experience as specialist in Expatriate Tax Compliance

• Previous experience dealing with the South African Revenue Service would be advantageous

• Good knowledge of the Income Tax Act No 58 of 1962

• High level of business acumen

• Excellent report writing skills

• Numeric aptitude

• Ability to multi task is crucial

Specialized Capabilities

• Registering taxpayers for income tax

• Calculating, completing and electronically filing provisional income tax returns

• Calculating, completing and electronically filing final income tax returns

• Reconciling income tax assessments received from the South African Revenue Service

• Researching and preparing objections to the South African Revenue Service on incorrect assessments

• Corresponding with the South African Revenue Service on follow ups on clients affairs

• Update and use of internal software

• Following up on outstanding information with clients

• Preparation and calculation of estimates and hypothetical tax calculations
