About the job:

We require an instructional systems designer with expertise in adult learning theory and design accessible learning interventions that leverage technology and engage students through a variety of instructional strategies. Instructional systems designers are experienced in developing and delivering both synchronous and asynchronous online learning, as well as in implementing robust evaluation plans designed to assess knowledge retention and application. Deloitte recognizes the connection between officer’s professional development experiences and intelligence mission success, and applies best practices in learning to training courses and multimedia products.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize complex information to clearly convey information to learners.
  • Recommend learning solutions and learning modalities based on analysis of learning goals, organizational and technological constraints, and budget and schedule considerations.
  • Use a variety of learning modalities to optimize learning experiences.
  • Develop conceptual documents and other documentation to support learning solutions.
  • Develop innovative formative and summative evaluation tools.
  • Develop learning solution documentation (e.g., storyboards, job aids, design plan documents);
  • Consult with stakeholders to gather requirements and document concepts, processes, work tasks, and related subject matter.
  • Draft scripts, narration, text and other content for learning solutions.
  • Develop scenario driven learning experiences.
  • Develop complex simulations or games.
  • Develop interactive techniques to increase engagement.
  • Develop exploratory learning solutions.
  • Develop learning modules using COTS and GOTS software (e.g.: MS Office Suite, Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate).
  • Incorporate media components (e.g., videos, images, animations or interactive elements) into learning products (e.g., traditional classroom, synchronous and asynchronous online training, web based training, games and simulations, structured on-the-job training, intelligent tutoring systems, job aids, testing, instructional videos).
  • Prepare and integrate course materials into Virtual Learning applications and tools.

Qualifications

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a technical trainer role developing technology application-based training
  • Minimum 4 years of experience designing and developing blended learning solutions
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing structured learning frameworks/approaches such as ADDIE
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing authoring tools (e.g., Captivate, Articulate Storyline)
  • Track record of successful training development of complex subject matter in global environment to diverse audiences using multiple delivery methods (e.g., eLearning, virtual-instructor led)
  • A completed recognised Bachelor’s degree.
