We are looking for a highly-driven and motivated Business Development Manager to join our fun, professional and dedicated Shops Department based here in Hong Kong. Our Shops Department oversees the end-to-end grocery and retail partners’ operations and businesses, from partners identification & signing to onboarding & account management.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth across our marketplace by:
- Leading the execution of strategic sales plans to onboard new vendors to the foodpanda platform.
- Introducing foodpanda’s suite of services and solutions to prospective partners through both in-person and virtual meetings.
- Building and managing a robust sales pipeline, identifying new business opportunities through proactive outreach and market research.
- Negotiating and closing high-value deals with key partners across the F&B, FMCG, and retail sectors.
- Gathering and analyzing market insights to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams including Marketing, Operations, and Account Management to ensure exceptional partner experiences.
- Work closely with new vendors to grow and maximize their business on the foodpanda mall platform, troubleshooting their problems and achieving win-win results
- Overseeing sales & account management growth in achieving business objectives;
Qualifications
- 4-5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnership roles—preferably within F&B, retail, or FMCG industries.
- Proven track record of consistently closing deals and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRM tools is a plus.
- Bonus: Experience in selling tech or software solutions to businesses.
- Experience in retail, consumer goods startups, or ecommerce industry is an absolute advantage;
