Job Description

Are you ready to be the hero of Sweden's grocery retail revolution? If you're a pro at managing categories and selling groceries, and you're pumped up about this opportunity, then this is for you! We're looking for a category expert to join our team and help us make waves in Sweden's coolest digital food chain. WHAT YOU WILL (BUT NOT ONLY) DO

  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to develop strategies that drive sales and profitability within your assigned categories. 

  • Negotiate, plan and execute promotional campaigns to increase visibility, drive sales and customer penetration

  • Determine the optimal mix of products to offer within your category, considering factors such as customer preferences, market demand, store capacity & profitability. This involves selecting and managing suppliers, negotiating campaigns, and monitoring performance.

  • Set pricing strategies, taking into account factors such as cost, competition, and customer perception

  • Regularly analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to evaluate the performance of your category. Based on these insights, you will identify opportunities for improvement, make data-driven decisions, and implement corrective actions if necessary.
     

We are looking for a true foodorian who enjoys working in a fast paced environment where we dare to go further as a team. To thrive in this role we believe that you have a commercial mindset and have great knowledge of what success looks like within grocery retail. You are a skilled negotiator who has proven records of sealing a win-win deal while representing a big brand like foodora market. If your analytic skills are as sharp as a pizza slicer and have a solution oriented approach to any obstacles that can occur - you can go far in this role!

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least two years of experience as a category manager, assistant category manager (or similar) within groceries

  • Relevant university degree or similar.

  • Fluent in Swedish and very comfortable in English.

  • Comfortable using Office 365 & Google Workspace on a daily basis

  • If you’re experienced within groceries in an e-commerce environment that is a big plus!
