Job Description
- Be an integral part of our growing Finance team, reporting to our Management Accountant.
- Complete tasks including posting journals, managing the sales and purchase ledgers, reconciling the bank accounts and preparing weekly payment runs.
- Exposure to, and assisting with, the production of the monthly management accounts, year-end statutory accounts, quarterly VAT returns and annual corporation tax returns.
- Assist in responding to requests from external stakeholders, including accountants and auditors.
- Help maintain a robust system of financial controls and identify process improvements where appropriate.
Qualifications
We have an opportunity for a talented Finance Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will:
- Experience working in a similar role in a small/medium sized company
- Confident user of Excel and experience using accounting software (Xero is desirable)
- A keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and a sense of pride in your work
- Reliable team player, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) desirable
