Job Description
Regional Sales Manager (South Africa and Southern Africa Region) Territory – Angola, Mozambique, South Africa
Basic Salary circa £40,000k - £70,000k+ (dependent on experience) + bonus.
Note:
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE EXPERIENCE OF GENERATING SALES AND DEVELOPING BUSINESS WITHIN SOUTH AFRICA, MOZAMBIQUE OR ANGOLA, WITH CLIENTS IN CONSTRUCTION, CIVIL ENGINEERING OR CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE SECTORS SUCH AS, ROAD, RAIL, HIGHWAYS, WATER OR OIL AND GAS. DELIVERING AN ENGINEERING PRODUCT/SERVICE, IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE BUILT EXISITING RELATIONSHIPS IN AFRICA WITH CIVIL ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION AND CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE CONTRACTORS AND FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS.
Responsibilities:
- Travel in South Africa and the Southern African region developing new business with local contractors, foreign governments and EPC’s in the civil engineering, construction and civil infrastructure sectors.
- Develop and manage key partnerships with distributors and agents in the territory.
- Act as company’s eyes and ears in the region, building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers in foreign governments and civil infrastructure contractors.
- Promote portfolio of products such as structural steel, steel structures, bridges or bridging systems.
Qualifications
Desirable Attributes:
- Based locally in Africa you should work and live in the Southern African region and be willing to travel throughout the territory to areas such as Angola, Mozambique and South African.
- Experienced in export or conducting business overseas, will understand the business and social culture of South Africa and Southern Africa Region with a good understanding of infrastructure engineering with local connections.
- Able to demonstrate business development and track record of winning business throughout the South African Region, selling engineering and civil infrastructure products. Understanding the emergency and military infrastructure sectors would be of benefit.
- Be confident, energetic and ambitious with a professional manner, able to communicate / negotiate at all levels.
- Show ability in sales, business development, project management and autonomy.
