How about you?

You are studying popular music, media management, journalism, communication or anything that is music related? You are passionate about music, especially Dance, put together playlists on a regular basis or work as a DJ? You have some experience in the music industry, media, radio, music journalism and/or project management, are a native/fluent German speaker, are a digital native, speak fluent English and are a team player?

Then you are exactly the right person for us! We are looking for a working student for our editorial and content team from June 2021 onwards. Dive into the world of music and media in the Deezer office in Berlin-Mitte (remotely until we're permitted to return). Get to know the digital music business from one of the world's largest music streaming companies. Many exciting tasks, good music and a great team that supports each other are waiting for you.

What you will do:

Show us what you can and be in charge of:

  • curation of new releases, hits and throwback playlists for the genres Dance (as well as Rock and/or Schlager)
  • content placement (homepage, channels, slideshow)
  • research pictures and create playlist cover requests (briefing of designers)
  • correspond with labels, distributors, artists and managements
  • assist on CRM-planning (push notifications, e-mails, in-app notifications)
  • support the editorial team in day-to-day operations
  • work closely with our social media team in day-to-day operations

Qualifications

What we are looking for :

  • native/fluent German speaker
  • You are a student and study popular music, media management, journalism, communication or anything that is music related (no Freelancer!)
  • You love music, especially Dance, and have knowledge about the current popular music scene
  • You enjoy putting together playlists or have experience as a DJ
  • You have some experience in the music industry, media, radio, music journalism and/or project management
  • You speak fluent English
  • You are a team player
  • You work precisely, efficiently and independently
  • You are a fast learner, proactive, creative and eager to broaden your horizon

You have experience in:

  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • Project management tools (not a must)
  • Content management systems (not a must)
