The Platform Team mission is to implement the Deezer ecosystem on every possible device. 

Deezer has signed major deals with partners and carriers all over the world (mobile operators, audio/video manufacturers...), and we help our partners to integrate our SDKs, develop all the necessary features and tools in order to make discover and enjoy our service to new users every day.

What you will do:

  • Manage all the quality-related activities in the team: gather all the relevant information to prioritise tasks efficiently with your team, communicate your progress with your teammates, and always be the messenger the for the good quality practices.
  • Apply and improve the existing processes, find innovative ways to enhance the quality of the features that we deliver and will deliver.
  • Take care of your QA team: organise regular meetings and 1-1, help them to grow and to find solutions to their issues. Of course, always maintain a good atmosphere in the team and relationship with the other QA teams is primary!
  • Work closely with the Development, Product and Design teams, so it means to be aware of the product guidelines, delivery targets and take them in account in your own team planning. Develop innovative strategies to give constructive feedback to the teams involved, and include them in the quality process.
  • Participate in all the Agile rituals in place: daily, sprint plannings, sprint retrospectives, post-postmortems and ensure that your team always has the relevant information.
  • Be an active part of the life of the Deezer QA Community (more than twenty QA Analysts and Leads): present your ideas during global weekly meetings with the QA COP (“Community of Practice”), challenge existing processes, make concerted decisions that will impact the whole QA community. Work with the others QA Leads in order to improve and smooth the QA workflows.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • 4+ years experience in mobile application, software or website quality assurance.
  • 1+ year experience in managing a QA team.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, you are a team-player, problem-solver, rigorous, enthusiastic!
  • At ease when working with senior developers and product owners / managers.
  • Solid experience in Agile work environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing test requirements, and test cases.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English / French).
