What you'll do:

• Establish strong relationships with all major and independent music labels and publishers in MENA territories

• Analyze relevant local catalogue missing and facilitate the negotiations

• Analyze financial returns for all Deezer services with labels through business review and promotional/marketing opportunities

• Adapt reporting tools for labels

• Work with key internal departments to ensure company objectives are achieved, specifically:

  • International department

  • IT production team

• Working with local Editors you will identify regional content opportunities to develop (i.e. how do we increase regionally our local content differentiation)

• As our regional editorial lead, along with VP Content & Productions, you will help define the regional strategy (Global content strategy with local nuances).  You will then coordinate the editors and curators for MENA in order to follow the agreed strategy.

• Local Editors in MENA to report to you under a dotted line for all matters concerning Editorial/Content. You are responsible for ensuring local teams adhere to Editorial best practices e.g. data reporting, playlist optimization, localization of channels.

• Identify regional Artist Marketing opportunities and -  along with the Global VP Artist Marketing - help define the regional strategy. You will then coordinate with Artist Marketing staff and local Editors with AM responsibilities in the region in order to follow the agreed strategy.

• Communicate regularly into the Global Artist Marketing team to ensure local Artist Marketing activities are in line with the global Artist Marketing strategy while also adjusting for local nuances where applicable. Dotted line to Global VP of Artist Marketing and report to them on Artist Marketing in the region.

• Any Artist Marketing staff in MENA region to report to you under a dotted line for all matters concerning AM. You are responsible for ensuring local teams adhere to Artist Marketing best practices e.g. proper tracking, analysis and optimisation of Artist Marketing campaigns while they are running and reporting on results post campaign.

• Monitor and understand music and artist trends in Deezer for the local market and communicate to the Global Artist Marketing team what artists/songs are and are not working well regionally.

What we're looking for: 

• Background music industry, digital services,
• Good network
• Good relationship in recording and publishing
• Strong knowledge of the MENA region 
• Fluent Arabic and English
