Due to continuous growth, we are actively seeking a Building Inspector based in Melbourne to service our increasing client demand for 137B Owner Builder Reports.

Our Building Inspector will be responsible to undertake 137B Owner Builder Reports along with RBI’s other inspection products that comply with AS4349.1-2007 such as stage inspections, pre-purchase inspections and dilapidation inspections. We are seeking candidates who can:

• liaise with internal teams and clients for the completion of scheduled inspections, proactively managing your time and travelling between sites 
• carry out initial construction inspections and advanced construction inspections for residential and commercial buildings
• identify and report on non-compliance with the building permit, building control legislation and regulations for residential and commercial buildings 
• provide clear, concise and accurate inspection reports for our clients using the latest digital applications
• be a voice for the client, providing an exceptional level of service and care.

About You

We are seeking a qualified Building Inspector with significant experience in the building industry. As our ideal candidate, you will:

• have completed a Bachelor of Building Surveying or an Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying and be a VBA registered Building Inspector (Limited or Unlimted) with 2+ years of practicing experience
• be across all BCA building classes and different types of construction for buildings up to three stories in height with a floor area of between 500 to 2000sqm
• demonstrate taking pride in your presentation, having a proactive attitude and an eye for detail, working both in a team and autonomously
• be proficient in using Microsoft Teams, iPads/tablets for completing inspections
• have your own vehicle and a valid Driver's Licence.
