About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our growing technology team, supporting the Quality Assurance (QA) capability for our Product, Web and Operations squads. This role will see you create and maintain fit-for-purpose test automation frameworks for end to end testing of products and operational systems, then conduct comprehensive automated and some manual testing for new system development and enhancements, ensuring the testing meets functional requirements, maintaining the quality standards set to ensure the overall integrity of systems and applications. 

Collaborating with the QA Lead, other QA's and Business Analyst's, the Senior QA Engineer will identify, raise and re-test issues found in a variety of web and mobile applications.

Job Description

As part of this role you will:

  • Work with the Test Lead and project stakeholders to define and create the automation approach.
  • Design and create automation scripts and frameworks based on key application functionality and desired test coverage.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure quality is a team responsibility and help empower them to practice test-first development. 
  • Perform relevant aspects of both test management and defect management for the project. 
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing automation solutions, framework for existing manual tests. 
  • Provide training and mentoring to the team to uplift automation testing skills. 
  • Perform manual testing as required.
  • Liaise with Business Analyst regarding Functional Specifications & triage with developers when bugs are identified.

Your skills and experience

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • 5+ years experience in a Quality Analyst role
  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience in defining and implementing several test automation solutions leveraging one or more of the following: Restful APIs, Postman, Cypress and Selenium (good to have). 
  • Good working knowledge in using Jenkins, Bitbucket / Git, Java, Web services and Cypress JS and Codecept JS. 
  • Experience with Behaviour-driven development (BDD) and Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD). 
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java or Javascript desired. 
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence and test management tools. 
  • Preparing and reviewing reusable functions, improve robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of test scripts. 
  • Excellent mathematical, communication and problem-solving skills. 
  • Being highly accurate and detail-oriented.

WORKING LOCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

Our teams are currently working from home however, this role will be based in our Makati head offices once circumstances allow. In order to be considered for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate your home working environment is as follows:

  • conducive home office (free from noise and distraction)
  • main internet: wired internet of at least 5mbps
  • reliable back up internet: at least 3mbps speed
