What's the opportunity?

To support a wide array of new projects and initiatives that are set to revolutionize our industry, we have newly created a position for a Technical Lead to join our team. This multi-hatted role will see you managing a team in Australia and the Philippines, and contribute to the solution architecture and technical design for our engineering practice which delivers innovative experience-centered solutions. This is an ideal progressive opportunity for a strategic technical specialist that thrives in an Agile scale-up/start-up, has a future mindset to take on a challenging new role, partner with senior leaders across the business, and help set the technical direction for engineering best practice impacting data, applications and DevOps driven projects.

About the role

As our Technical Lead based in either Sydney or Melbourne, you will be:

• leading the solution architecture and technical delivery of a range of customer facing and internal projects
• consulting with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate that into technical solutions, whilst leading task estimation for technology resources to deliver projects
• leading a highly motivated technology team dedicated to delivering quality solutions including technical oversight & code reviews
• working with the Project Managers and Product Owners to ensure full transparency of project delivery and with other Technical Leads to ensure and advise on best practise approach to technology decisions
• working with our DevOps team consulting to ensure our CI/CD practise is modern and secure

Your skills & experience

Our Tech Lead will contribute to a variety of projects so we are seeking a candidate that can demonstrate:

• 5+ years’ experience in technical solution design or architecture for web applications, data and/or cloud solutions, partnering with senior business stakeholders across locations
• high-level understanding of web technologies including PHP, JS related libraries/frameworks, and data centric applications or projects 
• experience in migrating and/or deploying solutions to Azure with knowledge of serverless architecture 
• experience in a business facing role in a product development company or agency with the proven ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences 
• having led teams of Developers, QA's and DevOps engineers whilst also working with vendors
