ROMVIMZA® (vimseltinib) is a kinase inhibitor approved in the United States for adult patients with symptomatic tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) for which surgical resection will potentially cause worsening functional limitation or severe morbidity, and in the European Union for adult patients with TGCT associated with clinically relevant physical function deterioration and in whom surgical options have been exhausted or would induce unacceptable morbidity or disability.

Job Description
The Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will lead Deciphera’s FP&A function and serve as a key strategic and financial partner to executive leadership, functional leaders, and Ono Pharmaceutical’s corporate headquarters in Japan. This highly visible role is responsible for leading company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning while ensuring alignment between Deciphera’s business priorities and the broader Ono Pharma Group strategy.
The Senior Director will provide strategic financial leadership and analysis to support portfolio planning, investment decisions, and enterprise-wide resource allocation. Working closely with leaders across Deciphera and Ono Pharma headquarters, this individual will deliver financial insights, challenge key business assumptions, and help drive informed decision-making in support of both short- and long-term corporate objectives. In addition, the role will lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team while advancing the company’s financial planning, reporting, and decision-support capabilities to support continued growth and organizational success.
What You'll Do
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the company's annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes, establishing financial targets, key assumptions, and planning timelines.
- Drive analysis of financial and operational performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
- Partner with functional leaders throughout the organization to provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and support informed decision-making.
- Lead financial reporting and forecasting activities in collaboration with Ono Pharmaceutical corporate headquarters.
- Develop impactful financial analyses, business cases, and executive-level presentations for senior leadership and global stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment between financial plans, strategic priorities, and operational objectives.
- Enhance and streamline FP&A processes, tools, reporting capabilities, and planning methodologies.
Strategic Finance
- Lead Deciphera's Strategic Finance function, providing direction and oversight on high-priority financial initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally to support portfolio strategy, investment decisions, resource allocation, and business planning.
- Oversee financial modeling, scenario planning, and evaluation of strategic alternatives across development and commercial programs.
- Translate complex financial analyses into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership and corporate stakeholders.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and career development plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Build organizational capabilities that support Deciphera's growth and evolving business needs.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant finance experience with significant FP&A and/or strategic finance leadership experience within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Strong financial and business acumen with demonstrated ability to influence strategic decisions through data-driven analysis.
- Experience developing and presenting financial insights to executive leadership teams.
- Demonstrated success leading, mentoring, and developing finance professionals.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to effectively partner with senior executives, cross-functional leaders, and global corporate stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting portfolio planning, business development initiatives, and strategic investment decisions within the life sciences industry.
- Experience operating within a global organization and collaborating with international stakeholders and corporate headquarters.
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario-planning expertise.
- Proven ability to build scalable FP&A processes and reporting capabilities in a growing organization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
- Experience with enterprise planning and ERP systems; familiarity with Adaptive Insights and Oracle Fusion preferred.
Additional Information
Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $224,900- $309,200. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to depth of experience, education, skillset, overall performance and/or location.
