Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant, Finance International to support the growth and expansion of Deciphera in Europe and beyond.

This position will report to the Associate Director Finance, International and be located in the Zug office.

What You'll Bring:

  • Responsible for various month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes – including account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and various analyses
  • Perform Balance Sheet and Income Statement account analysis and reconciliations
  • Work closely with external accounting firm for the preparation and review of local statutory financial statements, indirect and direct tax returns and other compliance requirements.
  • Interact and provide information to external auditors to ensure timely and efficient annual consolidated and local statutory audits
  • Ad-Hoc accounting and finance projects as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a multinational company
  • Life science industry experience preferred
  • Experience in a growth stage company in an International environment working with outside and remote internal and external resources with tight deadlines
  • Independently motivated, detail-oriented and strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent organizational skills, sufficient to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Advanced financial systems knowledge – Oracle Fusion and Blackline is a plus
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS accounting principles
  • Experience liaising with external statutory auditors and statutory financial statement preparation
  • Fluent English. Other main European languages preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or ACCA qualification
  • Experience with the following systems a plus: Oracle Financials and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management
