Mission: 

I will be responsible for overall payroll and internal control compliance which are currently existing or may be notified from time to time by the organisation or through the knowledge of the government notification.

Ensuring payroll and compliance assistance to the vertical I am responsible for

• I am familiar with my vertical’s internal and external environment 

• I assess the overall risks for my intervention 

• I obtain all information useful for my intervention from my vertical and Decathlon

• I consult cases with a background and probative aspects 

• I give a written communication on my intervention along with the risks 

• I rapidly provide a clear and dependable response 

• I reassure and explain my advice using language that is comprehensible to people without a legal background 

Controlling risks

• I keep up to date with changes to the law and with jurisprudence in my scope 

• I develop an external network with my counterparts in other companies in order to develop my know-how 

• I initiate external consultation for highly specialised domains, depending on the stakes 

• I know how to select external advisory firms, assess their efficacy, and negotiate fees 

• I am familiar with the company's organisation and structure; I keep informed on projects.

• I have a multi-disciplinary approach to cases, in order to map the stakes and the risk levels 

• I guarantee a thorough approach and confidentiality each day, to ensure legal integrity 

• I audit the actions of operational staff that fall within my scope, and I assess the risk levels and alert when necessary 

• I know how to assess the efficacy of my actions 

• I know how to keep an up to date, full, and reliable management report for my activity 

• I know how to position my actions as high as possible in the chain of command 

• I inform my manager and people concerned when I identify a potential risk for Decathlon 

Labour Law Compliance

• Adhere to all the applicable labour law acts not limiting to the below

•  Ensure payments under various labour legislations

• Monthly/Quarterly/Half Yearly/Yearly returns under various applicable statutory

            labour legislations

• Ensure maintenance of registers as per the desired forms under applicable laws

• Empower educate the stakeholders on the labour law applicability and its implication

• Contract labour compliance management

• Attend to legal notices received from Labour Law authorities

Non-Statutory Benefit Management

• Ensure every team member is covered under the social security measures initiated by

            the organisation from time to time

• Assess the need for change in the current system and strategize effective nonstatutory benefit management, Payroll Management

• Ensure the payroll is processed as per the internal as well as the statute rules

• Filing of returns under Professional Tax & Income Tax as per the applicable timelines 

• You are passionate about sports
• ACCA/Master in Finance and Accounting/Any degree with legislations in Bangladesh
• Experience: Minimum 6 years as Internal control/Compliance office
• You speak English fluently and love to work with people, even thousands of kilometers away! 
• You are agile, creative and thrive to take initiative
• You are responsible, autonomous and customer-oriented
