Job Description
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to support our Finance team. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes while gaining hands-on experience in accounting, financial administration and business operations.
Alongside day-to-day finance activities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improvement initiatives, reporting activities and finance transformation projects, providing valuable exposure to various aspects of a modern finance function.
What will you do?
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing supplier and client invoices;
- Supporting accounts payable and/or accounts receivable activities;
- Processing bank transactions and assisting with payment runs;
- Performing account reconciliations and administrative checks;
- Maintaining financial records and supporting bookkeeping activities;
- Assisting with month-end and year-end activities.
Depending on your interests and development, you may also contribute to:
- Finance transformation and process improvement initiatives;
- Optimisation of finance systems, tools and reporting processes;
- Financial reporting and analysis;
- Budgeting and forecasting activities;
- Statutory reporting processes;
- External audit.
Who are you?
You are currently pursuing, or have recently completed, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
More importantly, you are someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes ownership of your work and is eager to learn.
You also bring:
- Basic knowledge of accounting and financial administration;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
- A proactive and hands-on mindset;
- The ability to work independently while following agreed processes and instructions;
- Curiosity and an interest in technology and process improvement;
- Good Excel skills; experience with Power BI or other analytical tools is a plus;
- Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is considered an advantage;
- Availability of at least two days per week.
