JOB DESCRIPTION

Dcode's tech accelerators help innovative technologies solve some of government’s biggest problems. Our team is looking for a Program Manager to lead several of our tech programs each year.

As a Program Manager, you will oversee and manage the execution of Dcode’s Accelerate program for emerging tech companies. You’ll work with some of the world’s leading venture-backed innovative technologies to support their entry into the federal market. For each program, you’ll put together three months of intensive programming focused on connecting 6-10 high growth companies with government and relevant industry.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Management and Execution

  • Plan, oversee, and manage the development and execution of Dcode’s Accelerate program to include a high volume of events for each program, 15+ curriculum sessions, and hundreds of meetings across mentors, government, and industry.
  • Design processes, playbooks, and policies to standardize and scale Dcode’s Accelerate program
  • Provide logistical and operational support and oversight to Program Associates and interns
  • Continually revise and maintain a flexible curriculum that is aligned with current best practices 
  • Design and administer surveys and other assessment tools to capture and analyze data for program planning, decision-making, and reporting  
  • Partner with government agencies, industry experts, and outside vendors to improve the quality, scope, and delivery of programs 
  • Grow and maintain the Dcode community. Represent Dcode to government and industry partners
  • Work with Dcode leadership team to identify ways to incorporate the Accelerate program into other business lines 

Supervisory

  • Hire, onboard, and train Program Associates and interns 
  • Set expectations and key performance metrics for direct reports (Program Associates and interns)
  • Provide a roadmap for employee development and career planning

Qualifications

KEY SKILLS

You’ll learn something new every day in this role. We’ll teach you the ropes but ideal candidates will have:

  • 5+ years of work experience 
  • The ability to lead a small team and manage a program from soup to nuts – project/program management, client-facing experience, and event planning experience are ideal, and you’re a quick learner who can go from 0-60 quickly on the rest
  • An ability to think creatively to solve problems and to work without being closely managed 
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Ability to speak confidently in settings ranging from large group events to meetings with senior government, industry, and startup leaders
  • Enough technical chops to understand and work with everything from tomorrow’s cybersecurity tools to artificial intelligence innovators to small-sat companies without skipping a beat
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skillS
