Job Description

As an Onboarding Specialist & People Development Administrator, you are responsible for coordinating and administering all People Development functions. You will support team members, assist in fostering a positive company culture, and enhance employee satisfaction through effective communication, administration, and creative efforts. You will lead the New Hire onboarding experience and ensure engagement through the first year. 

You will also: 

  • Facilitate Thrive Onboarding for all new hires to introduce and reinforce company policies, culture, and values. 
  • Administer all new-hire and onboarding processes to ensure acclimation and engagement, including pre- and post-hire processes, training, and communication. 
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to create customized onboarding training plans, including corporate bootcamp and job training. 
  • Manage the creation, data collection, and formatting of performance reviews, engagement surveys, and training feedback. 
  • Maintain team member employment documentation via electronic personnel files in compliance with legal requirements. 
  • Assist with day-to-day HR operations and provide administrative support for the People Development Team. 
  • Coordinate team member developmental access events, including scheduling LinkedIn Learning administration and tracking. 
  • Answer queries from team members and new hires, directing them to proper resources and providing necessary information. 
  • Create and communicate company announcements from the People Development team. 
  • Assess onboarding program effectiveness and adjust efforts for continuous improvement. 

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field or equivalent experience. 
  • One (1) year of experience in a service-oriented role. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to maintain confidential information. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks. 
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Attention to detail and deadline-driven. 
  • Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. 

Preferred, but not required, experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience as an onboarding specialist or in a similar role. 
  • One (1) year of experience with ATS and/or onboarding software. 
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and labor legislation.
