Job Description

As an Associate Data Services Engineer, you are responsible for executing data conversions between client systems and Daxko’s products including ETL processing, and maintenance of internal tools designed for process automation. In order to succeed, you’ll need to be highly motivated, comfortable in a team environment, and enjoy working with data from multiple sources.

  • Maintenance of custom internal tools built for process automation (PHP, C#, SSIS) and ETL processing.
  • Building custom scripting to manipulate and load customer data with some help, and related issues.
  • Helping with root cause analysis of data-related issues and developing custom solutions with minimal issues/some help.
  • Communicating with internal and external customers to relay data risks and issues in layman’s terms.
  • Consistently meeting or exceeding KPI and performance planning expectations.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of the conversion process by providing feedback and suggestions on process improvement.
  • Quality assurance and peer review of other team member’s code and scripting solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year professional experience involving: 

  • Reporting and/or ETL Scripting using SQL (MySQL or SQL Server preferred; higher-level database training preferred)
    • PL/SQL, T-SQL, and building routines for repeatability
    • Coding with PHP and/or C# preferred but not required
    • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years professional SQL/ETL experience.
  • Novice to moderate knowledge of MySQL, SQL Server, and custom script development.  Demonstrated ability to determine table structure and build custom-coded solutions to data issues.
  • Demonstrated high level of aptitude for attention to detail and ability to prioritize a multitude of tasks.
  • Possess strong analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to find answers to problems and demonstrated ability to build solutions.
  • Display consistent professional demeanor and make positive contributions to the team
