Job Description

As a Data Conversion Engineer at Daxko, you will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading data between client systems and SaaS products, and maintenance of internal tools designed for process automation. In order to succeed, you’ll need to be highly motivated, comfortable in a team environment, and enjoy working with data from multiple sources.

 Here’s what the role entails…

  • Maintaining and developing custom internal tools built for process automation (PHP, C#, SSIS) and ETL processing.
  • Building custom scripting to manipulate and load customer data with minimal supervision or related issues.
  • Root cause analysis of data-related issues and developing custom scripted solutions
  • Communicating with internal and external customers to relay data risks and issues in layman’s terms. 
  • Consistently meeting or exceeding KPI and performance planning expectations.
  • Quality assurance and peer review of other team member’s code and scripting solutions.
  • Performing process audits and helping to determine automated solutions to key areas of need.
  • Understanding the entire implementation life cycle and each team’s role to better work process automation and client data issue reporting.
  • Custom consultation and development of billable projects from various teams as needed.

Qualifications

What you must have...

  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of MySQL, SQL Server, and custom script development.  
  • Demonstrated ability to determine table structure and build custom-coded solutions to data issues.
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience involving:
    • Reporting and/or ETL Scripting using SQL (MySQL or SQL Server preferred; higher level database training preferred)
    • PL/SQL, T-SQL, and building routines for repeatability
    • Coding with PHP and/or C# preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years professional ETL/coding experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to put complex ideas into layman’s terms.
  • Self-starter attitude with a demonstrated ability to both work well on a team and work independently.  
  • High competency in attention to detail and prioritization.
  • A consistent professional demeanor with the ability to make positive contributions to the team.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
