Job Description

Interested in systems administration more than software engineering?  Club Automation's breaking from its norm and looking for a talented helpdesk support professional to support its internal systems and users.  When it comes to our computers, we’re a tough group to please so you’ll need a strong work ethic, excellent personal management skills, and a good personality.  This is an entry-level position under the supervision of the Tech Ops Helpdesk Supervisor.  To succeed, you must have the ability to understand priorities, manage multiple tasks, and execute the work to completion.  Think you’re up to the task?

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues
  • Installing hardware and software
  • Setting up A/V (audio/visual) for various meetings
  • Updating ticketing system to reflect work in progress or completed
  • Handling printer break/fix issues
  • Researching pricing information and purchasing for team member IT needs
  • Interfacing directly with internal customers with a professional and positive demeanor

Qualifications

What You Must Have:

  • 1-3 years’ experience executing IT project tasks and assisting end users or technical degree
  • Experience troubleshooting end user computers, tablets, smartphones, and networking issues
  • Ability to resolve basic to advanced hardware, software, and network connectivity problems
  • Ability to communicate advanced technical information in an easy to understand way for end users who may not have the same level of experience and/or knowledge
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work constructively (a.k.a. patiently) with the entire DAXKO Team
  • Proficiency with: 
    • Platforms including Dell, Apple, Windows, MacOS, and MS Office Suite
    • Active Directory, Open Directory, or other LDAP frontend applications
    • VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
    • Cloud applications such as Dropbox, Office 365, etc.
    • Systems management applications such as Teamviewer, Kace, etc.
    • Learning new systems fast and being comfortable with change

What Will Place You Ahead of the Pack:

  • Experience with IT ticketing systems, such as SpiceWorks, SysAid, Kace, osTicket, Jira, etc.
  • Experience with desktop virtualization including VMware Fusion, Citrix, and/or VirtualBox
