Job Description

As the Engineering Manager for Club Automation, you will own the day-to-day management of your development team. This includes daily operations, maintenance, firefighting, troubleshooting, reporting, enhancements and development for current projects. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers with designing and implementing the next killer Club Automation product. Ultimately, you will set the values and vision of the team.

  • Own the technical architecture of the product

  • Strive to continuously improve the operations, processes, methodologies, technology choices and practices of the team
  • Interact with direct reports, customers, and peers to share information and improve cross-department processes
  • Strive for clarity, transparency and openness between engineers and business partners
  • Ensure features deployed have technical integrity and stability
  • Engage in concept discussions, and proposed technology solutions, to meet business objectives
  • Ensure all code is reviewed appropriately and meets quality, operational and architectural standards needed for successful product delivery
  • Focus on career development and performance planning for your team
  • Focus on CI/CD

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related experience
  • 2+ years of experience in leading development teams, combined with a minimum of 7+ years hands-on experience in software engineering on global development teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong coordination and influencing skills
  • Strong experience in object orientated programming with PHP, .NET, Java, or C++
  • Experience with PHP and associated frameworks
  • Deep understanding of AWS
  • Shown success as a software engineering lead who can focus on results in an Agile environment
  • Knowledge of available tools, technologies, methodologies, processes, and best practices to develop software
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and highly detail oriented
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines in a software development environment
  • Ability to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders
