Job Description

Position Title: Senior Coordinator, Leadership Giving

Terms: 1 year contract for parental leave, fulltime 34 hours a week

Location: Based at our Quebec office. Remote work during Covid-times.

Reporting to: Development Officer, Leadership Giving

Salary: 45-50k based on experience

About the role:

Our Quebec fundraising team is an integral part of our community and donor engagement in Quebec.

We are currently looking for a talented enthusiastic fundraiser to join our leadership giving team for a one year contract to support a parental leave.

You have previous experience in relationship management, events, customer relationship databases and ideally, in fundraising development. You are professional, organized, and results-oriented. Science-based solutions excite you and you want others to feel the same way and to support our important work.

Your warm and ethical relationship management skills get results and builds loyalty in our supporters. Above all, you are passionately committed to achieving the highest standards and consistently exceeding expectations in all aspects of your work.

You are happy to steward and build a robust portfolio of donors and engage them in DSF’s mission in order to increase organizational capacity.

As the Senior Coordinator, Leadership Giving you will be working under the guidance of our amazing Development Officer, Leadership Giving and ultimately responsible for helping the Quebec team meet their fundraising goals.

Your Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed targets that support our fundraising goals.
  • Support the Development Officer, Leadership Giving in event planning to celebrate David Suzuki’s 85th birthday and the launch of our new strategic direction.
  • Develop robust donor relationships to build ever-growing support for our important project work.

Qualifications

Skills, Experience and Knowledge Required. 

Education and Experience:

  • Post-secondary Degree/ Diploma or equivalent working experience.
  • 3+ year’s professional fundraising experience in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Demonstrated experience building donor relationships and meeting revenue targets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate the values and programs of the David Suzuki Foundation in a way that helps our donors understand how their support makes a difference.
