Typically, we would require a person with 8-10 years of experience in Solution Architecture along with being a Specialist on MS Azure Platform; experience in working with Senior Management teams on architecting the Enterprise landscape. Ability to work with business to architect, design and deliver the technical solutions with focus on meeting business requirements and broader technical aspects such as product costs, data privacy & sovereignty, business continuity management, adoption and integrations.

Education Background

• Required: An advanced university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Cryptography, Information Security, or a related field is required.
• A combination of a first university degree in a relevant field combined with at least ten (10) years of professional experience may be substituted for the advanced university degree.

Experience

• Required: A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible work experience in software architecture, software engineering, information security, auditing, penetration testing, red teaming, blue teaming, product design, advanced monitoring systems, or project management.
• Language Skills Required: Fluency in English is required with advanced written and oral proficiency. Knowledge of another official UN language is considered an asset.

Professional Skills

• Software design and system architecture experience, with focus mainly on information systems designed for confidential or proprietary data, as well as proficiency with software development best practices, including source code management and continuous integration solutions such as GitHub, Circle CI/Travis, Jenkins etc.
• Understanding of mathematics and cryptography in theory and in practice. Knowledge of privacy-preserving approaches like differential privacy, zero-knowledge proofs, and secure multiparty computation
• Sharp analytical and interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail. Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Ability to stay abreast of modern technologies and their ability to support Client technology projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units.
• Ability to foster excellent work relationships and build alliances with key stakeholders.
• Prior experience working with a multilateral or UN organization is highly desirable.
• Prior experience working in the financial industry is desirable.
• Prior experience with field deployment/implementation in developing countries or complex security contexts is highly desirable.
