Job Description

As an Enterprise Territory Account Manager, you will increase the market share for our DataStax Enterprise Solution in new accounts in an assigned territory. These will be large accounts- 3B or higher in the assigned territory. You will be provide account leadership and direction in both the pre- and post-sales processes in a high-energy, dynamic environment. This is an outside sales position with a sales quota.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with Data Architects to prepare account strategies and plans

  • Initiate new contacts constantly through networking, leveraging assigned Business Development Rep and targeted personal outreach to increase client base

  • Handle new business and new accounts for Datastax

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of DataStax' competitive positioning in the marketplace, and prepare activity and forecast reports as requested

  • Construct and execute a thorough business plan

  • Meet or exceed revenue quota

  • Provide account insight and direction in both pre- and post-sales processes

Job Requirements:

  • 5 - 10 years sales experience; with a minimum of 5 yrs outside sales experience required

  • 5 years of enterprise software, selling to VP level, Operations and Development, must have a verifiable track record of exceeding quota 3 of the last 5 years.

  • Start-up experience preferred, proven self-starter necessary

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills among a variety of audiences

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills

  • Exceptional leadership skills

  • Experience selling to Fortune 100

  • Experience translating technical sales into business value

  • Able to travel at least 20% of the time

  • This role will be based in Washington D.C. or Atlanta areas
