Job Description

As a member of the legal team, you will join a 4-person legal team, reporting to the General Counsel, and have broad responsibilities from managing contractual agreements in support of oursales teams to supporting internal teams like HR, Marketing or Procurement.

 

What you will do:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial and corporate agreements, including customer contracts, vendor contracts, and software and SaaS licensing agreements.

  • Creating new agreement templates.

  • Researching and evaluating risk to provide proactive, practical advice with a view towards advancing business goals.

  • Providing timely support to our Sales organization and other cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Advising on partnership and business development deals, including channel and OEM partner relationships.

  • Collaborating effectively across the organization to drive operational excellence.

  • Ad hoc projects as required to advise global cross-functional teams.

 

Your experience should include:

  • 3 - 7 years legal experience at a technology company and/or a respected technology law firm handling complex technology transactions, including experience with software and SaaS licensing.

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with enterprises and government organizations that have large-company procurement and compliance standards.

  • Providing legal support to Human Resources on US employment matters

  • Experience supporting partnership and business development deals.

  • Familiarity and interest in issues relating to software licensing, SaaS business models, open source software, IP, and data privacy

  • Demonstrate exceptional client service skills.

  • Thriving in a dynamic, distributed environment by practicing effective time management, prioritization, and communication.

 

Required Education

JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one US jurisdiction
