DataProphet boasts an experienced and qualified team of 30, with diverse skill sets in Data Science, Engineering, Statistics and Computer Science with the capability and experience across various industries globally.

Our team is growing and we are seeking a talented Engineer with a product obsession to take feature requirement specifications and bring them to life by building, deploying, scaling and monitoring our OMNI product to integrate machine learning and AI within the real world context of the customers we work with.

Roles and responsibilities:

Contribution to the development of current and future machine learning products and their deployments. This includes:

• the planning and development of their architecture and provisioning of services to productionise  the machine learning algorithms developed by DataProphet.
• implementation, testing and delivery of new features and services.
• maintaining deployed product’s services and infrastructure (e.g. server and codebase maintenance)
• managing the deployment and rollout of reliable, highly available systems, through test driven development and continuous integration.
• directing teams as to work required to deliver the product.

Contribution to the development of current and future bespoke machine learning solutions required by consulting engagements. This includes:

• integration of these solutions into a client's environment
• maintaining deployed product’s services (e.g. server maintenance)
• directing teams as to work required to deliver the product.

Customer engagement, including consulting to customers to identify how to fit the products or bespoke solutions into their environment (e.g. consulting with the system administrators to define a method of integration.)

• Minimum qualification: Honours in Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant qualification
• 3 to 4 years relevant work experience
• Minimum 2 years using Python or Javascript and fluency using using Linux
• Experience with relational databases and cloud based storage systems
• Experience with Django, Flask, Javascript, React, Git, Docker would be advantageous
• Must be a strong team player
• Must be self-starter who is able to work independently and solve problems
• Someone who codes in their spare time and has experience building applications in Python would be a major advantage
• Someone with an interest in information security
