DataProphet boasts an experienced and qualified team of 30, with diverse skill sets in Data Science, Engineering, Statistics and Computer Science with the capability and experience across various industries globally.

Our team is growing and we are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to assist in designing and implementing state of the art machine learning solutions in established business environments. The role would require the candidate to be involved with analyzing existing business scenarios and to create machine learning solutions to enhance the business.

We are looking for candidates with high energy, knowledgeable in the field of machine learning and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. Many of our projects require that we apply existing techniques in novel ways, or come up with new solutions altogether. Your responsibilities will therefore include small research projects to prove whether or not a certain approach will work in practice, and to adapt it if necessary.

Our culture is focused on machine learning. The conversations in the office frequently centre on applications of machine learning to real world situations as well as new achievements such as AlphaGo. We enjoy participating in Kaggle competitions and have implemented a number of the deep Tensorflow networks for our own interest. If that interests you and you have delved into some of them yourself, we would like to include you in the conversation and the team.

• Knowledge of and interest in machine learning algorithms e.g.: boosting methods, Artificial Neural Networks

• Msc/PhD in a related field, especially Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Astrophysics

• 2 - 5 years work experience in a related field, particularly (Process) Engineering or Computer Science

• Experience in handling, interpreting and analyzing data efficiently

• Python (Knowledge of machine learning libraries would be advantageous, e.g.: sklearn, Tensorflow)
