Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team in Tyler, TX. The BCBA will design, implement, and oversee individualized ABA therapy programs, providing high-quality services to clients while collaborating with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment and Program Development:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skill assessments to identify client needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, incorporating evidence-based ABA strategies.
- Set measurable goals to promote skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
- Program Implementation and Oversight:
- Supervise and train Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other staff in implementing ABA interventions.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Ensure fidelity of program implementation through direct observation and feedback.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists) to ensure consistent support.
- Provide parent training and education to promote generalization of skills in home and community settings.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Complete detailed session notes, progress reports, and insurance documentation in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, state regulations, and insurance requirements.
- Stay current with BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board) standards and continuing education requirements.
- Team Leadership:
- Mentor and support RBTs and other team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Education and Certification:
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Current BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Valid Texas licensure as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a BCBA, preferably in a clinical, school, or home-based setting.
- Experience working with children and/or adults with ASD or developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in conducting FBAs and developing behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and techniques (e.g., DTT, NET, PRT).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with data collection tools and software (e.g., CentralReach, Catalyst).
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to client homes or community settings in Tyler, TX.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with insurance-funded ABA services (e.g., Medicaid, private insurance).
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) to support diverse client populations in Tyler, TX.
- Training in crisis intervention or safety care techniques.
