This is a position in the consulting stream and is regarded as a professional person in the delivery of engineering design services in line with the suite of tailings and geotechnical engineering.

• Deliver leading practice consulting services to internal and external clients in the areas of mine closure design, closure costing, rehabilitation, development, and implementation of detailed closure plans from conceptual closure plans
• Leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams on local, regional and international consulting projects, so they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to client and Golder’s standards
• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to develop winning proposals and deliver projects
• Work collaboratively with other senior members of the Golder Mining team to implement business growth strategy, develop and maintain relationships with a broad client base
• In conjunction with the Divisional Leader and support from the Marketing team, identify, coordinate and undertake marketing and promotional activities for Africa
• Establish linkages with other business units to support and enhance service delivery
• Other technical input and project direction
• Contribute to Proposal writing
  

• Relevant Degree within Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Professional Register at ECSA
• 15 years + , Experience at a consulting firm and execution of multi-disciplinary projects
• Project management skills
• Demonstrated business development experience
