Job Description

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will perform sales functions in a targeted market of existing and new accounts. Your ability to grasp the intricacies of the customers' operations and provide tailored recommendations for the most suitable machines and solutions to meet their needs will drive sales success and build lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities involve contacting customers through direct contact, correspondence, and telephone channels to sell products, resolve issues, and address queries. You will also be responsible for exploring new product opportunities, managing orders, analyzing marketing trends for assigned products, and prospecting and selling to end users in a specific area.

You will be expected to meet sales goals and objectives, assist with trade shows, communicate and coordinate all sales efforts with the Inside salesperson, and work closely with technical and engineering teams to create customized solutions to meet customer needs.

You will have internal relationships with the manufacturing, shipping, engineering, quality, production, service, and sales departments and external relationships with customers (through direct contact, telephone, fax, and e-mail). You should possess excellent communication, organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills and knowledge of product and manufacturing capabilities.

The salary range is up to $85k with a commission potential of $150k and a complete benefits package.

Typical on-site hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Ideally, commuting to the client's facility in Illinois or Tennessee would be best. Machinery sales experience in HVAC, metal roofing, and/or metalworks environments is considered regardless of your domestic location. The typical travel is on Monday and home on Friday for the weekend. Traveling domestically, Canada, and Mexico (50% to 70%) for fieldwork to ensure customer contentment and achieve company sales targets.

Qualifications

The salary range is up to $85k with a commission potential of $150k. The perfect candidate for this role should have at least three years of relevant machinery sales experience within architectural sheet metal, HVAC, metalworks, and/or sheet metal fabrication environments. Knowledge of the metal roofing business is an added advantage.
