Salary: Up to £21,500 + £3,600 Car Allowance

The main objective of the IT Technician is to provide technical support to external customers during business continuity rehearsals and invocations and also ensure that the Businss Recovery Centre is presentable and operationally fit for purpose at all times.

This role will primarily be based at our Manchester Recovery Centre. There will also be a requirement to travel to our West Yorkshire Recovery Centre in Wakefield on a regular basis.

• Technical Support to customers during rehearsals and invocations
• Ensure any issues are followed up to the point of resolution
• Manage implementation of services for new customers, including installation co-ordination of hosted IT and communications
• Ensure the functionality of all site facilities including air-conditioning, lighting, UPS and generator along with reporting faults to the relevant teams
• Perform any other duties as required to support inventory to maintain service availability
• Provide support for client invocation call out as part of the 24 hour on-call standby rota

• Previous experience of a first / second line support role including supporting Intel/Windows desktop support
• Some knowledge of Networks, Switches & Routers would be beneficial
• Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Professional and flexible approach to work
• Ability to participate in out of hours call out rota
• Exposure to voice and data communications
