Company Description

Implementing and supporting the eBackup Service Portfolio within Daisy's Availability Services Department.
Hands-on day to day technical support, operation and installation of the service portfolio on site at customer premises.

Job Description

To participate in the full service life-cycle of all eBackup Services including, but not limited to, service provisioning, service delivery, service maintenance, internal and external training.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of eBackup solutions including Cloud Backup, Host and Storage based Replication at customer sites located UK wide.
  • Dedicated full life-cycle contribution and support of eBackup Services to end users and customers with strict adherence to standard processes and procedures.
  • To provide 1st and 2nd line support for eBackup Services products, platforms and services to external customer – in and outside of normal working hours
  • Respond to issues and queries raised with NOC, ensuring speedy resolution - in and outside of normal working hours.
  • Facilitating seamless integration and transition of eBackup Services into customer environments.
  • Ensuring that all eBackup Services operate within SLO and SLA limits and within any service delivery elements of commercial contracts.
  • Adhering to, maintaining, producing and reviewing documentation, to ensure all procedures, systems and eBackup Services are properly documented.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Experienced in Server backup or data vaulting solutions.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Windows Server (2003 onwards) Technology.
  • Experienced in Customer facing activities to a high standard
     

Desirable

  • Experience of Data Replication techniques, processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Backup and Replication software and service provision.
  • Knowledge of BIPS Replication Products
  • Knowledge of Zerto Replication Products
  • Knowledge of Veeam Backup/Replication Products
  • Knowledge of NetApp storage technologies and SAN’s.
  • Knowledge of Disaster recovery techniques & concepts
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word, ideally Visio)
  • Hands on experience supporting and implementing Virtualised Infrastructure environments.
  • Microsoft Office server technologies (SharePoint, Exchange and SQL).
  • Experience of Storage-to-storage replication technologies
  • Technical knowledge and experience in the field of Unix/Linux.
