An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dedicated Service Asset and Configuration Manager on a large public sector managed service account within a SIAM model.

For this processes, you will act as the Service Integrator in a multi-tower environment and have the opportunity to define, develop, implement, adopt and optimise the process within a fully integrated ITSM framework

You will report into the ITIL process manager who will be responsible for ensuring the operational effectiveness of the target operating model and to this end, you will provide knowledge and assistance in your specific area as required.

Responsibilities

• To define process strategy, goals and ensure they are understood across all Service Towers;
• Definition and ownership 3 tier hierarchical processes for both Service Asset and Configuration management which comprise:

o   Level 1 processes

o   Level 2 procedures

o   Level 3 work instructions and policies

• Ownership of the processes from end-to-end across all Service Towers within the target operating model:

o   Ensuring that all Service Towers interface into the overarching process framework

o   Ensuring that all Service Tower providers are contributing towards the Customer value

o   Ensuring the removal of SILO’s

• Ownership or the processes within the centralised toolset
• Ensuring that all Resolver Teams and Service Towers that interface to the process understand their obligations when operating within the  process
• Be responsible for maintaining the configuration management database
• Ensuring that process KPI’s are in place and fit for purpose
• Attending process review forums across all Service Towers in order to continually improve and drive the effectiveness of the process
• Centralised CMDB establishment and development

• Process ownership on services delivered to external Customers
• Service delivery in multi – tower environments
• Experience of service delivery in a SIAM model or at least fully aware and bought into the principles of SIAM
• Experience in defining processes and driving their maturity
• The candidate will ideally hold an ITIL v3 Lifecycle Certificate in Service Strategy, Design or Operation, as a minimum the candidate will hold a version 3 Foundation Certificate and have demonstrable experience in a similar role.
