Job Description

The effective procurement of goods and services to fulfil the requirements for both internal and external customers. To effectively communicate and co-ordinate with members of the procurement team, suppliers and customers with order / delivery information and escalations.

Responsibilities

  • To source goods and services through preferred suppliers as necessary 
  • To contact suppliers to check stock availability, negotiate pricing and agree lead times
  • To use the Daisy systems as required to raise purchase orders
  • To accurately process and expedite orders, updating all necessary internal documents
  • To carry out department administration tasks as required
  • To liaise with internal stakeholders / departments to facilitate any requests
  • To record data necessary for contract and sales order management 
  • Be vigilant for possible fraudulent activity and if necessary raise a security incident report using the template accessible via the corporate Intranet.
  • Periodically review Daisy Security Policies – centrally hosted on the Intranet - to ensure full compliance with current legal, regulatory and company requirements.
  • If you are a Manager of staff, you must ensure:

- your team are aware of their security responsibilities & know how to access Daisy Group Security Policies hosted on the Intranet;

- the principles listed with the Daisy Group Security Policy Statement document are embedded within the operations of your team.

  • Carry out any ‘ad hoc’ assignments as and when required.
  • To be compliant with health and safety company policy and legislation.

  • Literacy & effective communication skills
  • Relevant previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
