Job Description

Primary role is to monitor customer telecom usage and take action to prevent customers and Digital Wholesale Solutions from fraudulent and unauthorized usage by placing various barring orders via our different carriers. The role also involves notifying customers of the usage and leasing with internal teams and suppliers to track and close various tasks including billing, credits and raising Action Fraud cases. The role may also involve investigating the frauds with internal engineering teams and external industry bodies.

In additional general housekeeping to ensure services are confidgured correctly to reduce fraud will be required.

The role is closely linked with billing and revenue functions and will involve investigating and resolving missing CLIs and resolving billing rejects amongst other duties.


  • Monitor usage alerts from suppliers and our internal alerting system 24/7/365.

  • Investigate each alert promptly and take relevant action (placing of call bars) including alerting customers and Resellers.

  • Work with internal teams and suppliers to improve our ability to detect and reduce the risk posed by Telecoms Fraud and unauthorized usage.

  • Monitor and resolve missing calls and CLIs to reduce the business exposure to unbilled / unallocated calls and services.

  • Carry out monthly dial string updates and communicate to customers and channel partners where relevant.

  • Tariff Configuration assist Product Managers in validating tariff configurations are correct and monitor margin and revenues accordingly suggesting tariff and pricing changes where applicable.

  • Assist product and finance teams in any pricing changes.

  • Detailed tariff and destination analysis and implement changes where required.

  • General assessment and reporting of RA risks.

  • Monitoring of Internal CDR collectors and rating systems.

  • Wholesale Reseller CDR Hosting checks. Prior to files being hosted online various manual checks are required to validate the content of CDRs. This is function is carried out during the night / early hours.

  • Have a flexible approach to working in change environment, including assisting with other teams external to the Finance function.

  • Be vigilant for possible fraudulent activity and if necessary raise a security incident report using the template accessible via the Corporate Intranet.

  • Carry out any ‘ad hoc’ assignments as and when required.

  • To be compliant with health and safety company policy and legislation.



  • Working knowledge of MSoffice (Excel & Access bias).

  • SQL Query experience desired but not essential.

  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment.

  • Sound understanding of the telecoms industry and services.

  • Understanding of a reseller business model.

  • Experience of working in a process improvement environment.

  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving.

  • Must be able to work on own initiative and as part of a small team

  • Successful applicant will be required to have the relevant security clearance checks carried out.
