Job Description

The main objective is to support Daisy Distribution and Daisy Connect to achieve sales targets. This involves identifying new business opportunities through a combination of upselling and cross-selling to both the existing Distribution Partner base and the Daisy Connect end user customer base.

Responsible for designing solutions encompassing a number of products within the Daisy and network portfolio to aid the achievement of monthly sales targets for new business and recurring revenue.

To be available to attend client meetings with both Daisy Distribution and Direct channels to assist in building customer solutions and delivering pipeline. Responsible for dealing with new product launches, working closely with both the networks, BDM’s and Daisy Distribution / Connect sales. The key objective is for the individual to own the product and proactively drive sales (this is not a reactive sales position where the individual wait for opportunities to come to them)  

  • Deliver product sales – cross selling
  • Deliver training and development of products to Daisy Distribution Partner Channel
  • Assist in the delivery of Partner Channel sales target
  • Establishing strategic relationships with designated accounts.
  • Produce and maintain product lifecycle processes, training and assist in sales with account managers.
  • Develop and execute go to market strategy; develop pricing strategies and business cases in conjunction with the marketing team and sales manager.
  • Support the sales channel with customer engagement and site visits.
  • To design solutions using but not limited to Office 365, Box, McAffee virus protection and or any new digital products provided by the network or by Daisy. This will include any new products that are a key driver for both the Networks and Daisy such as Vodafone One Net and EE’s Mobile Iron. 

Responsibilities

  • To build and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities to support the achievement of sales targets through the account managers across the business.
  • Deliver against set sales targets, key business objectives and individual key performance indicators.
  • To work closely with the BDM’s / IBDM’s and direct sales – both field and desk based.
  • Maintain up to date records on our CRM system.
  • Create and deliver successful customer presentations and proposals – (at all levels).
  • Identify new sales opportunities to maximise growth and revenue within your base of account managers.
  • Train and up-skill partners to deliver maximum sales potential.
  • To keep up to date of the market place / industry in which Daisy operates.
  • To interface in to Daisy Group functions e.g. product development and marketing teams, providing market feedback on various aspects including price trends and competitor activity.
  • Be vigilant for possible fraudulent activity and if necessary raise a security incident report using the template accessible via the corporate Intranet.
  • To be compliant with health and safety company policy and legislation.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure new products are fit for purpose and suit current market trends and requirements and provide technical evaluations and staff training to ensure they can hold a coherent discussion before engaging yourself to help close or strengthen the sale.
  • Be vigilant for possible fraudulent activity and if necessary raise a security incident report using the template accessible via the corporate Intranet.
  • Carry out any ‘ad hoc’ assignments as and when required.
  • To be compliant with health and safety company policy and legislation.

Qualifications

Experience

Essential:

  • Demonstrable sales experience in the competitive new business telecoms environment.
  • A basic awareness of the Unified Coms arena
  • Demonstrable achievement of sales targets

Desirable:

  • Experience of successfully selling in to various accounts of all shapes and sizes.

Skills

  • Essential:
  • Extensive knowledge of your specialist area.
  • Solid sales skills including lead generation, pipeline management, forecasting and closing.
  • Ability to develop strategic relationships at a senior level
  • Ability to communicate and generate business at all levels
  • Good oral, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to galvanise internal resources to assist in achievement of your sales targets

  • Self sufficient
  • Valid driving licence

Desirable:

Product knowledge within your specialty and in any of the following areas, of at least an overview level, would be highly beneficial.

  • Broadband, EFM and Leased Line services
  • IT products directly related to target KPIs

  • Hosting/Co-Location, server virtualisation services

  • WLR and SIP
