Job Description

We are looking to hire a Project Manager who will be highly focused on Delivery aspect. You will work closely with engineers to come up with the best solution to address business priorities in a timely manner. We're looking for someone who has a strong interest for Agile Project methodology, making it real and not just theory. But managing the day to day tasks won't be enough, we're also seeking for someone with a certain mindset, people oriented, a team player celebrating team achievement above individual achievement. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Organize and prioritize your team backlog and explain the rationale behind it to all partners, stakeholders and your team 
  • Monitor project progress to ensure it remains on track, meet deadlines and develop according to plan 
  • Collecting feedback where relevant, proactively managing risks, issues, dependencies & assumptions. 
  • Communicate in a timely manner with your manager about important informations, alerts, etc. Ask for help everytime you need it, and be a fast learner 
  • Find shortcuts to deliver value as fast as possible 
  • Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects within your team and the different delivery leads 
  • Project management and guiding the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices 
  • Guiding the team on how to get the most of out self-organization
  • Ensure fluid communication and dependencies with other teams 
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example 
  • Confronts issues openly and quickly 
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment. 
  • Assist technical leads into operational governance and coordination (tracking roadmap deadlines, deliverables, resources, and timelines throughout the project process)
  • Manages team's motivation and moral
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving. Provide support and contribute to project scope creation 
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution across the different locations (New York, Paris, Marseille) and time zones.

Qualifications

You will handle ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized, prioritized and structured way, for this we are looking for someone with a : 

  • Verifiable experience in Engineering Project Management 
  • Knowledge of Agile methods (Kanban/Scrum) 
  • Understanding of the full Software development lifecycle 
  • Working experience with other delivery teams to co-ordinate and join delivery together 
  • Pragmatic, doer with a good sense of priority.
  • Excellent Communication skills 
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least three years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. 
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
