Governance Lab in partnership with researchers at Yale University, LSE, and IE India is part of a research collaboration that seeks to understand whether and how policy and development programming can support the objectives of inclusive political and economic growth in the context of Nepal’s recent transition to a federal system of government. We will be working with policy and program partners, engaging with stakeholders in all three spheres of government and Nepali academia to move this research agenda forward.

Governance Lab is currently seeking a number of enumerators to be a part of our phone survey regarding Covid-19 with the local governments’ officials. This is the third wave of the survey with previous rounds held in June and October 2020. The enumerators are primarily responsible for making calls and surveying the local officials using their mobile phones.

The Enumerator shall report to their assigned supervisors and are responsible for the following:

1. Conducting phone surveys and uploading data to SurveyCTO following the phone survey protocol

2. Attending daily virtual meetings with the Research Team during the survey period and any additional sessions as required

3. Maintaining a timesheet of survey days worked, and being available on phone within working hours on survey deployment days

4. Reporting to the Survey Supervisor on the progress of the surveys and promptly reporting any issues that may arise during the course of the survey

5. Following the IRB protocols and codes of ethical conduct as prescribed during the training
   a. Protecting the integrity of the data collected during the survey
   b. Protecting all Confidential Information from unauthorized disclosure of any kind
   c. Assisting the Survey Supervisor in any other manner as required for the effective implementation of survey instruments

1. Undergraduate or higher in any subject, preferably in any social science or economics.

2. Previous experience with remote/mobile surveys is highly preferred.

3. Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply.  

4. Candidates with previous working experience and familiarity with regional languages are strongly encouraged to apply.

5. Basic competence with computers required.
