In this position you will be operating equipment such as plasma tables and brake presses to cut and form steel fabrications to be used in the production of our machines. Cross-training in other departments and performing tasks outside your primary function will give you the opportunity to learn additional skills. This is a 1st shift position, hours are 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare, load and operate machines to produce fabricated parts according to work instructions, blueprints or other drawings

• Download appropriate program into machine controller for operation

• De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture

• Organize and prep completed parts for other areas of production

• Trouble shoot machine and program issues and coordinate with engineering to solve

• Follow all safety rules and lockout tagout procedures for tool and machine operation

• Inspect finished product to ensure it meets quality standards

• Able to perform repetitive heavy lifting of 50 lbs.

• Must have basic computer and math skills

• Able to read and understand basic blueprints and drawings

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Experience working with a CNC plasma table and brake press preferred
