Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our team of HVAC professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that has previous experience with chillers, Small to Large Tonnage RTU’s, split systems and building automation systems experience a plus.

The Senior HVAC Service Technician will exhibit proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting and maintaining heating and cooling equipment.  The successful candidate will:

  • Builds strong customer relationships
  • Build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations.
  • Provide preventative maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair commercial/industrial cooling and heating systems and temperature controls.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all electrical and mechanical components of HVAC Equipment.
  • Provide startups and troubleshooting for a variety of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Meet with customers, evaluate needs and make recommendations.
  • Provide technical assistance to other field personnel.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have 5 to10 years commercial and industrial HVAC experience, with a proficiency in the service, diagnostics, and repair of:

    • Small and Large tonnage chillers
    • Air cooled and water cooled screw, scroll and reciprocating chillers
    • Packaged rooftop units
    • Split condensing/AHU systems
    • Boilers
    • Pumps
    • Cooling towers

Candidates should have an understanding of control systems and devices including VFDs, VAV’s, WSHP’s, Towers etc., as well as basic skills with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).   You must have EPA Universal Certification and be proficient in brazing.  Experience with building automation systems and with centrifugal chillers 250 tons and above preferred, but not required.

A valid driver’s license is required as this position will service the PA, DE, MD and NJ areas.  Some overnight travel may be required at times for both servicing our customers as well as for manufacturer training.   Possession of a State of Delaware HVAC License is a plus.
