Job Description

You’ll be capturing key moments throughout each dance routine at weekly competitions across the Greater Toronto Area. In doing so, you’ll also need to:

  • Photograph jumps, kicks, leg holds, beautiful poses and passionate expressions throughout each routine
  • Take approximately 50 photos per dance
  • Setup and test your equipment at the venue
  • Resolve any equipment issues prior to the competition’s start
  • Support the Sales Representative and/or Videographer where needed
  • Your camera will be tethered to a laptop, all you’ll need is a camera and lens (requirements below)
  • You are responsible for the quality of your product

Position Type / Duration: Seasonal, end of January – end of June 2020, Thursdays – Mondays (Excluding Easter Weekend)

Position Location: Based out of our office in Concord, ON with opportunity to travel around the Greater Toronto Area 


  • 1 year of related experience required (dance, theatre, concerts, or sporting events preferred)
  • University or College degree in a related field required
  • Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving long distances
  • Sound technical knowledge of all camera equipment, including maintenance
  • Able to work long days
  • Available to leave for events on Thursdays and return on Mondays between January – end of June 2020

Equipment Requirements:

  • Professional Digital SLR Camera (at minimum - Canon 70D, Nikon D7500 or comparable model)
  • Comparable backup camera preferred but not required
  • 70-200 mm f/2.8 lens and 24-70mm f/2.8 lens
  • Tripod or monopod and backup camera batteries
