Job Description

Our Engagement Manager is looking to recruit a first class Engagement Coordinator to join their team. Employee Engagement is a key driver for DPD that enables us to retain our people and to build on our enviable position as the UK’s premier parcel delivery carrier.

Overview of Role 

As our Engagement Coordinator you will be working with all areas of our business (employees, self employed Owner Drivers and management) to improve employee engagement by empowering everyone to use their voice regardless of the role they are in. Building a culture of trust, and creating new ideas on how we can improve all areas of engagement ensuring our people are happy but also delivering outstanding performing for the business

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Answering queries regarding new starters

  • Looking after listening post forum and escalating any texts received appropriately and within a timely manner

  • Creating ways to measure and assess engagement (for example, surveys)

  • Designing employee experience frameworks

  • Assessing the impact that people practices and policies have on the employee experience.

  • Designing approaches to communications which provide an employee voice

  • Reviewing management practices and their impact on the employee experience

  • Assisting in creating, implementing and executing engagement events and projects.

  • Reviewing and enhancing the employer brand

  • Building a culture of trust

  • Ownership of accountability of engagement projects

  • Daily admin tasks to include covering multiple inboxes

  • Covering workloads when team members on holiday

Qualifications

About You

To be considered for this role you don’t need to have previous Employee Engagement experience but you will need to be passionate about promoting and driving forward Employee Engagement and understanding the importance engagement has in retaining our people.

Your excellent communication and organisational skills will be  fully utilised in this role as will your ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks. We will also expect you to have

  • Excellent time management skills. 

  • Flexibility and a positive approach to change

  • Creative and innovative

  • Professional attitude and be a good team player

  • A good knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office packages

    Job Specifics

    Occasional travel will be required attend events and meetings
